Applications with full bio-data are invited from qualified candidates for the following posts for the academic year 2008-2009 so as to reach the undersigned within fifteen days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
Applications must be accompanied by certified copies of marksheets of all the examinations from SSC onwards. Those already employed shall forward their applications through the proper channel and shall account for break in service/academic career, if any. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

The appointment to the above posts are subject to the clearance/approval from UGC and Goa University.
Essential Qualifications:
Lecturers:
Candidates should have good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at the M.Ed degree from an Indian University or any equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
Librarian:
Master’s degree in Library science/information science/documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade plus a consistently good academic record. Candidates having passed Ph.D./M.Phil in Library Science may also apply.
Candidates besides fulfilling the above qualifications should have cleared the eligibility test for Lecturership/Librarian conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar tests accredited by the UGC or should have a Ph.D/M.Phil in Education/Library Science.
In the event of non availability of such candidates or if such candidates are found otherwise not suitable other candidates will be considered for appointment on purely temporary basis till the end of the academic year.
Pay Scale: Rs.8000-275-13500
PAY SCALE, TERMS AND SERVICE CONDITIONS - as prescribed by Goa University, UGC, Directorate of Higher Education, Panaji and other competent authorities from time to time.
