FUTURE PLANS: The Nirmala Institute of Education intends starting:
To provide personal counseling and career guidance services.
The IT resource centre will have 40 state of the art computers, networked with Broadband capabilities, the latest software and the best E-learning suite available. The IT centre will cater to the following: 1. Training teachers in design and production of e-learning materials. 2. Getting teachers involved in Web 2 technologies for learning. 3. Training Managements of schools in maintaining and designing various management systems that are pre-requisites for any modern school systems. Training in-service teachers in the use of computer aided teaching techniques. 4. Training members of various Boards of Studies in the art of instructional design. 5. Conducting training programmes for various officers of the Department of Education in innovative methods of E-management. 6. Making the centre available for on-line National and International Examinations.
To provide facilities especially for the mentally challenged and autistic children. It will cater to children of varying age groups and there will be facilitators who will be trained to ensure that the children avail of the various games and activities available at the center. The focus will be on encouraging socialization and interaction from a view point of fun rather than a highly structured environment. It is hoped that the existence of such a center will be another step in the direction of providing children with disabilities with more enriching life experiences.
